Rich or anyone, whats the parking situation for the weekend, is it going to be free, are we able to park within the park or are we in the pay and display car park?

Cheers in advance

Parking at Croydon is always a cause for concern.

The car park is FREE to use but you MUST put a ticket on the vehicle every 3 hours. I am trying to get permits for the weekend to alleviate this but I am not holding my breath. The roads around the park are free to park so I would advise using them.

The Scout Hut/Touranment HQ is about a 7 minute walk away and again has on street parking. I expect to hold the players meeting at the HQ so will get directions to you all asap. It is a tricky place to find as it is located in a cutting between 2 roads. Still working out the logistics on that one.

So, Park near the HQ, walk to course and back for lunch. That way you'll not get a £40 ticket!

my van will be located by the 15th basket as usual.

Thanks Rich, i'll be there earlier enough to find a suitable side road near the HQ, drop us a link to a map for the HQ.

Rich,

I filled out the online form for Bob Holgan. He doesn't appear to be on the main list?

I don't really want to have to keep running back to put tickets on the car. What is the best and safest side road to park on?

Obviously check the street's parking restriction when you get there, but I'd suggest trying the roads south of the Lloyd Park tram stop e.g. Croham Park Avenue, Castlemaine Avenue, Melville Avenue or any of the adjoining streets.

We are just 10 days away from this years Cyclone and it has become necessary to make one or two small amendments to the running order for the Saturday.

Due to the fact that we have a 10 minute walk from the Tourney HQ to the park it has been decided that we will hold the Players Meeting earlier than previously advertised.

So, the new schedule for Saturday morning will now be:

08.30 Registration closes
09.00-09.30 Players Meeting
10.30 First round followed by lunch

This will enable you all to do the Players Meeting, then take the stroll up to the course where you will have plenty of time to do a full warm up.

It is hoped that we will hold a Clinic with our visiting Champions after the 2nd round on Saturday. This is yet to be confirmed but it does seem to be the logical time to hold the clinic. It gives everyone the opportunity to get involved. This will be confirmed asap.

Cheers
