Thanks again to Matt C. for reminding me of the unwritten rule that the AM and Masters Tour Champions receive a spot in the Nationals top 16.
Good chat and great round, Cheers.
First of all, are we talking about the Tour points champion? or the winner of the respective division from Creeksea? As a follow up, if either the Am or Masters Champ declines attendance will the spot be forfeited or does the 2nd place finisher from each respective division have the opportunity to compete in the top 16?

Not in the minutes but I found this while looking, Cheers

"British Nationals Match Play Champion – the player who wins the single match play British Championships event. Qualification based on current player rating. The Masters and Am champ are no longer guaranteed a spot."

Chris OB beat Hamish in final 3 and 2 ( I think that was score). Rumour has it Chris smashed a huge putt to close it out.

Not sure of other results but

Matt and Del played for 3/4

Iain M won the not top 16

Saturday was glorious weather, Sunday was wet and windy.

Everyone smiled

Timmy blasted out a hot round on Saturday morning, John Bruce has sneaky distance. Alfie 3 Yogi 4.

The Glasgow crowd are a great bunch.

Thanks to them for the huge effort, especially bringing in and setting out all the baskets each day. Cheers to Seamus for TDing.

Yes, Good Times
After hitting a very tough head wind putt on a playoff hole with Derek in the semi finals, Chris OB did indeed smash two huge putts to close out the match over Hamish with 3 holes to play. On hole 15 Chris threw it in from at least 15 meters to an elevated pin, and then on hole 16 both players caught early wood, with Chris up first he applied ultimate pressure jamming the 12 meter putt home and forcing Hamish to do the same.
Hamish had a tough road to the final as well taking the match on last hole from Matt after losing 3 of the 4 previous holes. Timmy and Charlie each improved their seed position by 2 with Timmy shooting a 46 against John in the first round. Derek and Chris had to to settle their semi final match with a 19th hole, and spirit of the game must to go to Rick for smiling after his last two rounds with the junior division in the driving rain.
The AM division is looking strong too, scores soon.

Thank you Seamus and the Glasgow crew for putting on a great event. The course was enjoyable with amazing views of the hills to the north. It was good to get to use the driver on most of the tees! I look forward to defending the title next year.

When you said 24m I thought you were describing the line for a bacon butty at Morrisons :)
